The food is amazing. They have the best baked beans we have ever had. Fried chicken fried fish shrimp and the the peach cobbler are delicious. Everyone is very friendly we will definitely go back
Excellent food the previous times I have visited! Always tasty experience! And don’t forget to tip the wonderful ladies that serve you!
Found this nugget in a small shopping strip. Fabulous food! All you can eat pork chops, shrimp, salads, pasta, desserts, breads and vegetables cooked all to perfection. The service was top notch and the price was fantastic. I have been telling everyone to go. The decor was awesome too.
Went here on a Thursday and it was packed! Had some good food and a fantastic family friendly atmosphere! For roughly $15 The food overall was good but it wasn't perfect. It's a small buffet style restaurant that has a large amount of seating with very limited hours of operation between 11:00am-2:00pm. The vegetables, salad bar and other sides were very enjoyable and solid. However the chicken was a miss for me. The fried chicken had great seasoning on it but was tough and dry, the chicken with a BBQ-ish sauce had great flavor but was again tough and dry, the grilled chicken was RAW when I cut into it, 0 for 3 in the chicken department. The shrimp jambalaya was amazing and the beef with pasta and white sauce was also good. I had the peach cobbler dessert and that was amazing! Not overly sweet and loaded with sugar like supermarket cobblers allowing the peach to shine through! I would say to go just for that singular dessert due to how good it was. Overall food rating is a 3.5/5 stars(rounded up for google). The atmosphere was packed full of people but it was southern families who would openly talk to you as if they had known you for years and probably even invite you to their own table with how welcoming and family friendly it is. Atmosphere is a solid 5/5 stars. Parking was a challenge with the limited spaces and people jam packing into this restaurant and others nearby. Overall I'd go back and recommend to others to try at least once for some southern cooking. Overall rating 4/5 stars.
Our roadie food group has been looking for the best Mom & Pop eateries for 40 yrs now. If you are anywhere near St Mary's, go see Lacy & her team at The Lunch Box! Marvelous! Even the picky eater will find what your looking for. It's worth the 45 min trip from JVille!!
This place is incredibly busy! We were on the road, and needed some food. Found it randomly on Google maps. We were glad we stopped. For a buffet, it was large, fresh, and hot, and it was always full. Absolutely GREAT fried chicken. The fried shrimp were good too. Service could have been a little better, but not a deal breaker. The wait staff was just as busy as the restaurant. Cost was roughly 18 per person. It was good, would visit again
Was looking for good food that was not fast food as we traveled I-95. This place is a bit off the interstate but is a really delicious place to eat. It’s the locals favorite. Buffet style. The price was very reasonable at $16 per person including drink and dessert. Wide variety of southern favorites. My only downfall is I couldn’t eat more!
